their son, Francis Whiting (c. 1720-1775), of "Bullskin," Virginia, married 1747, Frances Perrin;
their daughter, Frances P. Lowndes (1810-1901), married John James Frame (d. 1834), "Bullskin," near Charleston, Virginia;
their daughter, Frances Elizabeth Beverley Frame (1834-1876), married Ambrose Robert Hite Hanson;
their daughter, Frances Hanson, married Nathaniel W. James, Baltimore, Maryland;
thier son, Dr. Henry James, New York, and his sister Mrs. Beverly Pope, Baltimore, Maryland, are the owners of the portraits of their great-great-great-great-great-great-grandparents;
in 1937, it was with Mrs. Beverly Pope, Baltimore, Maryland;
who gave it Dr. James's niece, Mrs. Rolland M. Teel, Jr. (Beatrice H. James), Baltimore, Maryland.

Condition history Portrait was restored in 1937 by Mr. Fulton Leser. The canvas has been "grossly over-painted as shown by the photograph taken after cleaning" (FARL negative 31160). The canvas has also been rebacked.
