Attribution history (a) Italian School - 13th c. by Sansoni, 14 May 1938. The Redeemer; (a) Italian School - 15th c. by Touring Club Italia, 14 May 1938. Madonna and Child and saints; (b) Greek School, Byzantine - 6th c. by Frick Art Reference Library, 1932; (c) Attributed to Italian School, Byzantine - 13th c. by , 1 February 1940. It seems scarcley probable that the painting is older than indicated by Sansoni, no correction was made on this dating in reply to the courtesy print sent to the local church authorities.
Subject (d) Redeemer, 13th century; Madonna and Child and saints, 15th century; (c) Shows Redeemer in a niche. SS. Peter and Paul on either side of the Blessing Saviour are obviously fairly recent additions, and of no artistic interest.
