Mason Perkins, 1926. Possibly Italo-Byzantine artist; (e) Attributed to Italian School, Pisan by Frick Art Reference Library, 1927. Repeats a Byzantine type, but probably this attribution; (f) Attributed to Giovanni di Bono by Bacci, 1924. Called Gallinella o Gallinello. The mutilated inscription may have originally read (Johanne) vocatus (Galli) Nellus Me pinxit.
