Attribution history (b) Italian School, Pompeiian by Frick Art Reference Library, 1930. The 1911 catalogue of the Naples Museum, p.288, gives for the Pompeiian frescoes a period beginning in the 1st c. B.C. and ending in the reign of Titus, 1st c. A.D.
Subject (a) Executed during a period beginning with the reign of Augustus and ending in the first year of the reign of Titus. A few were done between earthquake of 63 and catastrophe of 79.
