Condition history (d) Good state. There are some ancients restorations, and some various dates in the border.
Color notes (c) Figures outlined in black. Flesh tones enlived by pinkish marbles and red marks the hair and outlines faces. Everything is enclosed in a large square ornamental border.
Attribution history (b,d) Anonymous - 12th c., (b) by Touring Club Italia, 1930, (d) by Toesca, 1911; (c) Italian School, Romanesque by A. Venturi, 1904. The motif of the months used in pavements is found also in some fragments in the Musée Cluny and in the Cathedral of Novaro; (e) Attributed to Italian School by Toesca, 1935. Subject (f) The twelve months are frequently represented in Roman mosaics, as we can see in Aoste, Pavie, Bobbio, Reggio and Otranto.
