Provenance (b) Convent S. Maria Novella, Florence, Italy, chiostro Verde, the cloister's decorations were possibly financed through the bequest of Turino Baldese, 22 July 1348, the building of the cloister was begun circa 1350 and completed by 1359.

Condition history (a) Partially restored, some of the lines were reinforced. Conserved intact, however, damaged in the process of the hammering of the corresponding fresco.

For the Creation of the Animal, Creation of Adam, Creation of Eve, Fall of Adam and Eve, Flood, Recession of the Flood, Sacrifice of Noa, and Drunkenness of Noah; (b) Attributed to Delio Delli by , 1969. For the Expulsion from Paradise, Murder of Abel, Blind Lamech Kills his Great-Grandfather, and Building of the Ark; (b) Attributed to Pseudo Ambrogio Baldese by , 1969. For the Building of the Tower of Babel. The Authority File of Artists states: Pseudo-Ambrogio Baldese (Ventura di Moro).
Subject (b) The sinopia for one of six bays of the east wall of the cloister all of which is painted with scenes from the Old Testament. On the South wall are scenes from the story of Abraham.
