Source of acquisition The Papers were removed from the space at One MacDougal Alley, where Miss Miller maintained an office from 1969 through 1987, and deeded to The Museum of Modern Art for its Archives on October 27, 1986.
Related collections A lengthy oral history of Dorothy Miller as well as additional documentation of her activities after her retirement from The Museum in 1969 can be found at the Archives of American Art.
The Papers of Holger Cahill are at the Archives of American Art and in the manuscript division of The New York Public Library.
Installation photographs of exhibitions organized by Miss Miller have been removed from these Papers and they can be referred to in the Museum's Photographic Services and Permissions.
